in front of astonished neighbors. >> computers, and everything they owned, it looked like. they were bringing them to their cars. unmarked cars, tonight we're learning new details about the man who runs the office which was raided. this was the scene from sky- 7-h-d. as agents emerged from the office of pinnacle realtors in el sobrante. with boxes of evidence. employees there. reportedly had no idea why. kron 4's j.r. stone has been following the story since it broke this afternoon, and has new details tonight. >> fbi agents scouring through fbi realtors. >> take a look there is the fbi over there. >> the -- went to panicle realtors-this is video from the pinnacle real-estate office. papers and file

folders everywhere. >> it is scary. this is sealed. this man who runs this is a former business partner who was gunned down in 2008. this loan officer was later convicted of murder and solicitation. he is now being connected to but not being a link to this fbi raid. i spoke with a family member. this has to do with a loan agreement and also i spoke with business owners in this area. they are highly skeptical of that story. j. r. stone, kron 4 news. >> pam: developing tonight. san jose police have released a composite sketch of a man, who they say, out

of her mother's arms in an attempted kidnapping. investigators say, this is the man who tried to snatch the two year old girl last evening. as she and her mother were outside their home on dayo court in east san jose. kron -4's charles clifford is live in san jose. with a description of the suspect. and reaction from the startled victim. charles? >> yes, the san jose police department worked hard today. back in this neighborhood if the neighbors have any information about this suspect. through out the day wednesday, police officers went door to door in the neighborhood around dayo court, looking for anyone who might know something about this suspect. from inside her front door, the mother who literally fought a tug of war battle with the would be kidnapper, described what happened >> just a man was walking across the street. i was playing outside with my daughters. he was commenting on how beautiful they were

and the color of their hair. the next thing i knew he melted down, grabbed my daughter by her feet he knelt kneeled down. anti grab your ankles, and she fell back on me. and i grabbed her ankles. her bottom is were falling off. her boots were falling off and after the struggle ended, i picked up my other child and i ran inside and called 911. >> id is not sure if you is targeting these children but either way, they are looking for answersit's not clear if the particular children or if this was a random act. either way, the san jose police department is looking for answers. it tears at the morale fiber of the community. >> the suspect is described

as a latin male, a thin build and the mother in this case also said that he smelled like a motor oil. anybody with information is asked to call the police department. charles clifford, kron 4 >> now let's get a look at exactly where this attempted abduction happened. it was here in east san jose just east of south white road. we'll fly in on the big board for a closer look. the incident happened on day-o court.that's a little culdesac off pavan drive. this happened just after 5:30 last night. the suspect was last seen walking south on pavan drive. >> pam: new tonight at eight. funeral services are being held for one of the two victims killed in the new year's day mission district car crash. francisco gutierrez was standing on the sidewalk near south van ness avenue. when alleged gang member, 19- year old david morales,

ran a red light while being chased by police. and crashed into a car. killing his passenger 29- year old patricia tune-coon. that car then jumped the curb and killed gutierrez. kron 4's reggie kumar tells us, family members of gutierrez say they have forgiven the driver. who is responsible for their loved ones death. >> of the family says that they do not understand why the 26 your old was cut short. the mother spoke to me through a translator while standing next to her brother before the funeral. she says the suspect should pay for what he did. she says that he feels sorry for her mother his mother- >> he should be brought to justice according to the law. and i feel bad for his mother because she must be going through painful situation of what happened.

it will stay mild as we continue our warming trend. we will take a look a your extended forecast, coming up. >> pam: developing tonight. the f-a-a has grounded all boeing 7-8-7 dreamliners in the u-s. until the company can prove it fixed battery problems. it comes after incidents where two airlines in japan grounded the planes, because of similar issues. the f-a-a announced today that battery failures caused a leak of flammable material, heat damage, and smoke. the only u-s carrier which flies the planes. is united airlines. since july, there has been a growing list of reported issues with the boeing 7-8- 7. including cracked engines, and a fuel leak. ahead at eight. president obama delivers on his promise. to enact gun control policy in the wake elementary school shootings. a look at the new measures. the national rifle association fires back at the tighter policies. but did they go to far. by mentioning the president's children?

at least two people have been killed and six others injured. the group targeted a bus carrying passengers - from a base at the british owned gas field to an airport. indications are the attakers are affiliated with an al qaeda group based in mali. defense secretary leon panetta has called it a - quote- 'terrorist act.' president obama, taking action aimed at reducing gun violence in america. he signed more than a dozen executive orders -- and is urging congress for even tighter controls on weapons. kron-4's catherine heenan explains on the president's newly unveiled gun control proposals. in politics.staging is key. the president's back-drop -- four children. each of them had written letters to him about last month's school massacre in connecticut. the president announced

plans to introduce legislation next week that includes a ban on new assault weapons, limits on high capacity ammo clips. and expanded background checks. and more money for mental health care. without waiting for congress.the president acted on his own authority in signing 23 executive actions designed at keeping guns out of the hands of criminals. he 'will' need congressional approval for some key items.including the ban on assault rifles. "this will not happen unless the american people demand it, parents and teachers, police officers and pastors. if hunters and sportsmen if responsible gun owners - if americans of every background stand up and say enough." outside the white house -- supporters included people who have lost family members in shootings. "this is the start of a long battle.and we are prepared to fight it to the very end." "long battle" might be an understatement. with opposition that goes well beyond congress. a new nra tv ad calls the president an elitist hypocrite for being skeptical about armed guards in schools.while the secret service protects his two daughters. and some law enforcement officials - including this kentucky sheriff -- say they

will refuse to comply with any laws they feel are unconstitutional. but the ground may still be shifting in the president's favor. a new cnn poll says 55% of americans 'do' want stricter gun control. some of the other executive orders. include one that would allow communities to hire more schoold another that d require federal law enforcement to trace all recovered guns. the n-r-a released its response in a commercial. grant lodes joins us with more on what the white house is ripping as a deeply personal attack. and the nra is referencing the president's daughters in this online ad that the n- r-a pre-emptively released yesterday. the white house pushing back, issuing a stern response to that ad: saying in part: "most americans agree that a president's children should not be used as pawns in a political fight."but to go so far as to make the safety of the president's children the subject of an attack ad, is repugnant and cowardly." >> reporter: the n-r-a

>> now for a look at our top stories at eight-thirty. >> federal agentsin el sobrante federal agents raided a real estate office today. you're looking at video from our helicopter partnership with abc-7 news. witnesses say, f-b-i agents removed computers, and boxes full of documents from pinnacle realtors. authorities tell us, they were serving a sealed search warrant. meaning they cannot tell us what they're looking for. no arrests have been made in the case. according to the companies website, the business is owned by juan mancheno of orinda, when contacted he declined to comment. >> police are looking for a suspect accused of attempted kidnappng. a san jose mother says she was out playing with her two daughters when a man

approached her and after a brief conversation. tried to pull one of the woman's daughters out of her arms. the mother manage to escape with both of her daughters and called police. >> we're finally getting a glimpse at the gold jewlery box that was stolen from the oakand museum of california earlier this month. officials released these pictures show a gold box that was made back in 18-69 during the gold rush. it was on display before it was stolen. museum officials hope the box is recognized and suspect behind the brazen >> new numbers from the d-m- v show just how many fatal crashes on california roadways are being blamed on drivers who don't have valid licenses. new tonight at eight. kron- 4's alecia reid breaks down the numbers. and shows us which motorists pose the biggest risk. be careful when riding around the bay area. that driver next to you may not have a licenseand according to the dmv's latest study, those without a valid driver's license are nearly 3 times more likely to cause a deadly crash. unlicensed drivers include

those with suspended or revoked licenses. the study found that although these are all under the same umbrella, unlicensed drivers tend to be more hazardous than motorists whose licenses have been suspended or revoked the percentage of unlicensed drivers 19 and younger in fatal crashes were 4 times higher than the percentage of those that had a suspended or revoked license and the largest percentage of fatal crashes with drivers who don't have a license, or their license were taken away, are between ages 20 and 29. impounding vehicles have proven to be effective in reducing crashes among suspended, revoked, or unlicensed drivers. in order to gain a california drivers license, one has to have legal status. according to the la times, immgrant rights groups say this study proves that permitting these licenses would reduce fatalities. the actual number of unlicensed drivers in the state of california is unknown, because the dmv doesn't get wind of them

until they are in an accident or convicted of a traffic violationthis is the first critical analysis of unlicensed drivers in 15 years. in san francisco alecia reid kron 4 news. >> in san jose, a plea for help in solving that city's first and so far only homicide of the year. it happened january 5th on tripoli avenue. little evidence leave little for police to go on. there are no suspects, no motive has been identified. the victim's wife made an emotional plea for help outside police headquarters this morning. >> it is very hard for me because i have a five year- old to a daughter. she is asking for him and i do not have answers. it is very hard. i just need if somebody knows something,

on wall street. the dow lost 23-points to close at 13-thousand-511. the nasdaq gained 6 to 31- 17. and the s-and-p-500 rose a fraction of a point. >> goldman sachs and morgan stanley have agreed to pay a combined 557 million-dollars to settle federal complaints that they wrongfully foreclosed on homeowners. the fed announced the agreement today. which is similar to deals struck with 10 other major banks and mortgage lenders. the money could compensate hundreds of thousands of americans who lost their homes because of abusive lending practices. consumer advocates are criticizing regulators. saying they settled for too low of a price by letting banks full avoid taking responsibility for foreclosures that victimized so many families. >> cirque du soliel is laying off hundreds of employees. most of them at is headquarters in monteral. 400-people will be let go. starting at the end of the month. the world-renowned circus troupe is blaming increased production costs and expenses for the cutbacks. the cirque employs about
